I was just reading through a TV Guide at work (I work for a cable company, so it's work related! ) And saw this:
"Jeers to Ford for digitally reviving the late Steve McQueen to star in its new Mustang commercial. True, the actor, who died in 1980, did drive a Mustang in "Bullitt", but couldn't Ford find a living celeb to endorse its cars?"
Geez...retro car...retro actor...get it yet?

Some people just don't get it. Jeers to TV Guide. And besides, Ford has gotten two celebs to endorse its cars: Kiefer Sutherland and Wayne Gretzky.
It's "Letters to the Editor" time, me thinks.

Another idiot publication which has to join the party and offer an opinion on something it knows very little of.

Sounds similiar to another article/review I read on hear. It looks like a writer had nothing to write about, read that other article, and plagerized. Someone needs to get original and do their own writing.

I just don't get people having a problem with that comerical. From my experience people stop what they are doing to watch it, talk about it from time to time, and generally like it. Isn't that the point of comericals. They should spend their time making fun of the 1000 other terrible comericals that make me change the channel every time.

Unfortunately I believe that America as a country has taken the stance of criticizing anything from an old woman's clothes to the new Ford Mustang. People just can't stand that Ford can still hit a home run. Isn't it a sad day in America when a car like this can come along yet people will still sing the praises of Honda and others.
Sickening.

Yet when they brought back John Wayne and Frank Sinatra in other commercials with digital revival it was an amazing breakthrough in technology.
Of course TV Guide is also over-looking the cornfield "build it and they will come" concept as well as the fact that McQueen is one of the biggest silverscreen badhineyes to drive a Mustang!

Do a survey on any of the two and you'll get stable blood pressures and lots of grins.

Well, if TV Guide is watching, I have not bought a TVGuide in over 20 years either.

Couldn't have put it better myself. They are attempting to destroy this country. :bang:
