I rented a 2005 Mineral Gray v6 with the sport apperance package from budget rental car last week. I love this car so much, I don't want to give it back next tuesday

Does anyone else think that the turn signal is too loud?

I don't know if the car you rented had the IUP, but the sound in mine with the IUP is actually an electronic simulation of the mechanical turn signal flasher. If you change the display on the message center while the turn signal is off, it gives a "beep" every time you hit the Info button. With the turn signal on, there's no "beep." Also, if you leave the turn signal on for more than half a mile, the "tick-tock" sound is replaced with a fast beeping sound and a message display says you've left it on too long.

To answer your question, though, I think it sounds just fine. I can barely hear it with my Shaker 500 cranked up.

I guess if you were in a realllllly tall parking garage, it might become annoying!

What annoys me is the way pedestrians cause scratches on the bumper when you hit them. Those darn belt buckles and purse clasps!

Ford had sound engineers working on this Mustang from day one......and they wanted to capture the retro sounds as well as the retro styling (doors closing, turn signals, exhaust note, etc.). I grew up in the Muscle Car era, and so I recognize alot of these retro cues.......and they're all A-OK with me.

i have forgotten mine is on 7 times already in less than a month because it is TOO QUIET! radio was on none of those times, windows down only a couple of them. i have had passengers asking me whether i signaled, and only one has every openly noticed the ticking sound (commented on how nice it sounded). i dont understand how someone could think its too loud, ive never heard a quieter one before...?
my car is a gt, maybe v6 and gt have diff signal volumes?
