Well I decided to take off my 18" fanblades for the winter, and bought 17" black bullits with Dunlap wintersport M3 tires. Ordered both from the TireRack. Love the wheels and tires. Since I hadn't seen anyone post Tungsten with black bullits, and I know several have inquired, I though some of you might want a look.
Cheers,
FalconDude

Looks good! Have you had a chance to use those tires in snow yet? How did they perform?

Looks good!
How were they packed and shipped? I'm asking because I remember what happened to Kevin's Bullits.

Since they were already mounted, The Tirerack wrapped the tire/wheel in a thin white foam material, then put circular cardboard on each side, before wrapping in plastic strap. I noted one small scratch on the rims, which I'm sure happened at Tirerack because UPS did a nice job in the shipping process and I didn't notice any damage to the wrapping material.

looks sweet except i think the red interior kind of clashs with the tungsten. a funny thing i noticed is that you have the windows down with snow on the ground

Maybe you'd approve more if I painted my calipers red?
Yes the pict was taken when it was about 15 degrees F.

Nice, I did the same thing, but not the black bullits, and from ebay for 289, +85 ship, and Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip GW3's at 140 ea. about 1000 after tax and shipping.

Although no HP was gained in this mod, I challenge any 05-06 mustang to a 1/4 mile snow packed race, lol. Tires are great in the snow. The M3's should be awesome also, near same tread pattern, and tend to be more expensive. And goodyear owns Dunlop so im sure theres some crossing technolgy there.

Hey Stoenr, your bullits look great. Are they silver? Because they match the Tungsten very well. It doesnt look like there's any brown. Your right the tire pattern, looks the same as the Dunlaps. I see that you and I will be seeing alot of the same winter weather. I'm in Madison, WI..suppose to get 3-4 inches in the next 24.
Tungsten in the snow.....classic pict.

Depends on the light and angle you can see the brown in them, only seen once when inside the shop when I was putting them on, and in the flourescent lighting

Hey Chuck,
no I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Just been depressed about winter arriving and taking my Mustang out in the salt/snow. Here's my dilemma: As of right now I have two choices in vehicles. My 06 Mustang GT with my new rims and winter tires or my 03 Sport Trac with 4 wheel drive. Currently I'm driving the TRuck because we've had a lot of weather, however, the Mustang calls out to me in a primal voice that I'm having a hard time ignoring. She says "drive me you bad boy...I won't disappoint"
Well, we just got about 5 inches of snow, and I need to shovel.....
Oh by the way, I made a hanging partition in the garage between the two cars so there won't be any dinging possible. I'll post a pict when possible. I was inspired by your garage.

Thought about this myself, thanks for the pics.

Which wheels do you like better, Fans or Black Bullits?

I'd have to say that I like both equally, but for different reasons. The fans are a little more modern bling for summer and the black bullits are are little more throw-back bad boy. how's that for my hip vernacular?

Maybe I'll have to buy some and just switch them out. I was looking at the 18" Black Bullits chrome lip deep dish 10" in the back and 9" in the front.

But.. also possibly the cobra wheel but I don't know if I want Chrome wheels on Tungsten.

I was looking at the 18" black bullits with the big chrome lip from the deep dish, but for me, there's too much chrome, and I think defeats the bad boy blackout look. The 17" wheels do a better job in the old school look, if that's what you want. Anyway, I've seen picts of the ones your thinking about somewhere on this site. It would be fun to compare side-by-side. cheers
