I am trying to decide what color to get, and am having a very hard time. At first, it was a definate black, then everyone told me that black cars are the worst color you could possibly get, hot in the summer and impossible to keep clean.

So i thought, maybe dark red, and i get told that dark red is a cop magnet. So i look at the other colors, and i'm not to impressed. The windviel blue and legend lime are to light, the silver and white are the same, light. Yellow is out of the question, and i dont like the brownish mineral gray look.

If i had my choice i'd like a darker forest green or a graphite gray like the trucks are offered in. So i looked at the new colors, but there are very few photos of the up-coming vista blue and tungsten gray. Has ford made any other cars with the vista and tungsten paint? Or are there more photos that i simply havnt found? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

P.S. Does anyone know what the story is with the highland green that i saw in the motortrend video?

Ordered Vista my self dealer had color examples that they claim to be 98% accurate of the actual color. No to my knowledge ford is using both these colors for the first time this year.

The highland green was a one-off color done aftermarket to resemble the original car in the movie Bullitt. I believe it was also painted for the magazine comparison with the new Dodge Charger.

As for the color, I have Redfire and love it. What about the current blue color for the 05's, have you seen it in person?

And also, I believe this is a repeat for the use of Tungsten Grey for Ford. I believe they used it for the Ford GT supercar.

Vista blue has more metallic flake than the Sonic Blue. Vista has a reflection more like Redfire. I am glad I got Sonic. One of the few and one of the first

Vista blue supposidly does not have the purpleish tint to it under certain lights that sonic blue does. I think if you like sonic blue except for the purple tint, then you should probably like vista blue. Also, tungstan grey seems to be more of a silver grey as opposed to a copperish grey like mineral grey. If you want some more pictures of tungsten, look for pictures of the 2006 GT supercar, as it comes in that color.

First off, a lot of TMS members have gone through the pain of deciding on the color, so you're not alone. Even harder still is deciding on a color that you can't see in person. Tungsten and Vista aren't available on dealer lots yet, so you have to go by pictures. Unfortunately, you can't tell by pictures, because printers or computer displays will just show a representation of the color - not the actual color. The only way to see the actual color if the car is not available is by the color chips at the dealer. The color chips are sheets of the actual paint.

And I am so sick of hearing that red or any other color is a cop magnet! B) I drove two RED Mustang GTs daily over the past 13 years, and got pulled over exactly ONCE in that time - deservedly so because I only had the parking lights on at night that time - for which I got a warning. No tickets ever.

Now I have the '05 Screaming Yellow GT, which I'm told is even a bigger cop magnet than red, and of course so far I've been pulled over ZERO times.

So personally, I don't buy the whole cop magnet thing at all. YMMV.

It doesn't matter if the name is different, they ar ethe same color. I've seen the paint codes in the order guides for both the 2006 GT and the 2006 mustang, and they arethe same.

So the tungsten gray is definatly not a dark charcoal gray as was offered in the previous years. From what i've seen it looks more like a stainless steel look, would that be a correct assumption?
