TSB's. Do em or not?
Right now, I don't really have any big problems that bother me with my 05 Mustang GT.
I did have the gas pump stop prematurely once.
And I occasionally hear a loud metal sound when I am turning the wheel and going in reverse. Also, turning the wheels all the way when parking etc occasionally causes a lage sound.
Also, I hear what might be the leather, or the frame of the car occasionaly on the drivers side making noises.
None of this is a real big issue for me. But I wonder if I should just take the entire list of TSB's to my dealer and ask them to perform every TSB that exists.
Is this how it's done? Bad idea?

they will only do them if they can verify the problem. take the car in for the ones that you suffer from and they will order the parts and good luck on waiting for the mthey are all backordered. ive been waiting for my parts for over a month now.
If you have you have a problem that's outlined in a TSB, then by all means, walk in with a copy of it to your dealer service advisor and have them perform the work.
If you don't have a problem that's outlined in a TSB, then don't.
Pretty straight forward.
Just because there's a TSB doesn't mean you have the problem.
Of all the TSB's out there, the only one I have is the strut popping one, parts are enroute as I speak!

I talked to the service manager at the dealership today on the phone. I asked him about the strut popping and the brakes squealing. He said he had not heard anything about anyone having these problems. I guess I have to take my car 100 miles to the dealership, let them keep it a day or two while they try to replicate the sounds I hear, go back and pick it up, wait for the parts, take it back for a couple of days when the parts come in, and go back and pick it up again. I hope they don't cop an attitude on me when I have copies of the TSB.
The coil spring shifts a little bit. They've come up with a way to stop it from happening. It's not a safety issue at all, just an annoyance. I've had the problem since day 1 and just waited till:
1. I felt like giving the car up.
2. The TSB to come out.

If you've got a problem, take it in, if you don't, don't. TSB's aren't just recalls or "bring it in and we'll swap it out" notices. Some TSB's only apply to earlier run vehicles, so it may not even apply to yours, or your's might not have that problem. In other words, a TSB is a common problem, but not ALL inclusive.

With the gas tank TSB they kept the car for a week waiting on the new gas tank. I am waiting to fix the popping for a while. I don't want to part with the car again for that long yet.
I had the strut popping noise fixed yesterday when I took my car in for a problem with my A/C. Amazingly enough they had the kit on premises to fix the strut tower TSB. I would recommend having it attended to.
The problem with my A/C was kind of funny though. No Freon in the system, absolutely 0 PSI. They checked the compressor and the rest of the system for leeks and found none. Looks like they forgot to fill it at the plant.

They actually took me into the service managers office to make sure I wasn't getting parts for my car "just because" .....Ford and the dealers frown on getting parts replaced that there is nothing wrong with .But once I explaned that these are only the things wrong with my car and thats why I wanted them done there was no problem .
I did ask for the strut bushings to be replaced for more of a safety concern but if there is nothing wrong with them they won't replace them (and I told them there was nothing wrong with them ...this was before the trip to the service manager)...... I'm ok with that but I just didn't want to end up like the older F150 "ADVISORY" where the tie rod ends fall off (even at high speeds) and all they send out is a advisory and not a proper recall for there trucks .
When it comes to the front end of the car safety is first and I just don't feel comfortable with parts that may be sub-standard but do-able.
So for now it's just wait and see when the struts start to pop..but I am hopeing that this TSB turn into a recall .It would at least make me feel better that they stand behind there product unlike the older f150.

Does anybody have a problem with the air on the floor? I couldnt find a TSB for this issue. But there was some old talk about this problem with the heater back in wintertime.
It is quite noticable when its 140 degrees in the car, and I turn on the air conditioner. Works great out the face vents, but when I turn it to feet, (or feet and face), no air comes out!!! Actually, it trickles a little air on the face, and no air at all on the floor.
Anybody else notice this? No TSB for this?
I am taking my car in this Friday, I have a list of things for them to check and fix, this issue included. Just wanted to know if anyone experiences it as well...
Thanks
