TSB Gas Tank
#1
The story is that my dealership is being dumb and thinks that I am stupied about the TSB on my 05's gas tank. I have tried searching for the actual printout of the TSB, but havn't had any luck. I have a feeling that I will need to print out the TSB and bring it to them so they will swap my tank out, if anyone could point me in the direction of where to find it that would be great.
Thanks

Thanks, yeah my dealer said that there might be a recall as well, but he doesn't think that he has to do anything unless there is one. Thats why I need the TSB to show him to order me a new tank.

Here is another related question: Does anyone know if Ford did a running change to the line to use the TSB tank/vent? And if so, WHEN did they switch? My car was built 3-15 and at first, I thought all was good. But, the last few times I have filled it up, it is starting to act up on me. I'm thinking the rubber vent line might be swelling up due to exposure to gas fumes, reducing the venting capacity.

RRRoamer: My car was build on 3-14 and I am experiencing the gas tank problems. From what info I have gathered ford hasn't started putting revised gas tanks in the new units until the end of March. This is just an assumption that I gathered from when others have had there cars built.

That stinks. On the bright side, if I had the TSB tank and I was STILL having the problem, then I might be up the creek...! I guess I need to chat with my dealer and have them order a few parts. Lets see, where does it stand now???:
1) Gas tank TSB
2) Upper strut bearings (irritating, isn't is?)
3) Reprogram throttle with Predator (ok, so it isn't a TSB but it is still irritating as all get out!)
Not a huge list. I still love this car, but it will definitely be that much better when the issues are resolved.
