trying to decide on refund check mods!

im pretty sure ill be getting around 2k on the refund but sometimes im wrong. regardless ive decided on a few things. For the Stang':
Headers (havent decided on long tube or shorty.......looking for siggestions!)
CDC chin spolier
and possible a new head unit.

gonna be modding the bike as well (02 Kawasaki VN800) with new seat, turn signals

just wanted to get some opinions on the headers. also, how big of a job is it to install.

In my opinion headers won't really do you that much good unless you have some sort of intake mods bringing more into the engine that needs to be forced out. What are your performance goals? For about the same price as a set of long tube headers you could get a cold air intake and a flash module to do a performance tune which would net you a lot more for your money than just headers.

I have to agree. The intake and tune would be the first step before going to headers. After you do intake and tune, you'll probably find that you want to run a long tube header as well. Here are my deals on the Intake and SCT XCal2 Tune:

C&L Racer intake and SCT XCal2 with 3 tunes for $619.99 shipped to the door.

JLT Racer intake and SCT XCal2 with 3 tunes for $545.99 shipped to the door.

C&L Trueflow (metal tubing) intake and SCT XCal2 with 3 tunes for $745.99 shipped to the door.

I carry all of those in stock, as well as the tuners. As far as headers go, we deal with JBA, Kooks, FRPP, MAC, etc. I love the MAC headers with offroad prochamber to match. It sounds great with almost every axleback.

Why not the MAC long tube headers with offroad prochamber to go with it? They're nice and provide immediate horsepower and torque gains. I have a kit that comes with new gaskets, o2 sensor extensions, the prochamber, and headers for 919.99 shipped to the door!
