trunk release lever in car?

trunk release lever in car?

just one question. i've had my mustang for a while now but still have not found a trunk release lever in my car. is there one or not? i know in other mustangs its in the glove box but nothing there in this one! i've accidently locked my keys in my trunk more than once no i really wish someone could answer this question for me please!!!

Nope, no trunk release button in the car.
Only on the key fob

thats what i figured.... it just sucks to have to wait for someone to bring my spares! thanks!

Lock your keys in the trunk ?
Fold your back seats down and get in the trunk that way, unless of course you locked yourself out of the car as well

Actually I don't think the convertible seats fold down, do they? I don't know for sure though, haven't been that close to a convertible.

If it's a vert Yes but a coup pull a seat and crawl in and pull that glow in the dark T handle assuming you can get in the seating compartment ?

This is a very annoying cost cut by the beancounters. I will wire a release in when I have a chance.

lol yeah it is pretty hard to pull the seat back when you have a convertible. everyone tells me to do the same but i have to remind them i dont have that option. guess i'll just have to sit and wait next time! hopefully there isnt anymore next times though! lol

I had the salesman give me an extra fob that I velcro'd into the middle console for a trunk release.

Dustindu made his own trunk release button he put in the glove box.

This is one of those great ideas that is so obvious and easy...I overlooked it. I even have 2 extra fobs already programmed

how about a spare key in your wallet...that what i have won`t start the car but i can still get in if i lock my keys in there.....

How hard is it to program a new fob and what is the cost? Thats a good idea to have just one in the car for the trunk...agree ford should have put one in the glove box!

Picked up the fobs on ebay, 2 for $30. Make sure you match the codes on the back of the fob. You must have all of the fobs when you do this, any fobs not redone at this time, will not work. Instructions are in the operators manual on page 70 in Locks and Security.
