Just curious, but whats the advantage of ordering one?

So there's a less chance it was driven?

Im just curious..

I got my car back in 2004 when it was hard to find one in the showrooms, and if you did find one most dealers were asking anywhere from $2000-$5000 over MSRP. I ordered mine and got exactly what I wanted at x-plan, which in my case was a little over invoice.

Congratulations on the car...I told you the wait would be worth it once you got behind the wheel for the 1st time.

The advantage to ordering your car, your way, is just that! You don't have to settle for features not wanted, or take a car without features you truley desire. Kind of like choosing your wife...lol

I;ve had several black cars and I don't think they are any harder to keep clean.Something here tells me your car will never have the chance to get dirty.Congrats on your new ride! There is nothing sweeter than the first time you bark your tires out of first gear.Except maybe 2nd and 3rd gear

Positives: You pay for what you want. You don't pay for what you don't want. You get the car EXACTLY the way you want it. Knowing that the car was made especially for you is kinda cool as well. That's why I ordered mine...
Negatives: I don't see any. Typically it takes 6-8 weeks... However, as seen on this forum, some have experience much, much longer... I guess that would suck.

I dunno, that analogy doesn't really work here...

If you just FIND your wife, she will be just like you wanted. If you ORDER your wife, something may be wrong.

Hopefully this week sometime I will share in your joy. I've been waiting since mid-August. What was your ETA vs. actual delivery day? Mine's supposed to be Monday!

Congratulations!!!

I hope you're right about it being worth the wait. For me 2 years 11 months and counting (from the time the S197 was revealed).

Congrats!

Thank you Everyone for the messages...I just washed Her and it was very easy...Quick and easy to wash and dry. That paint and or clear coat makes it easy...I am happy that a New Hand wash opened up down the street from me...Perfect...I should see if they have some kind of membership reward card...Take care, I think I need something at the store...
