Explain what? How to send a PM?

HAHAHA.

If you mean about kickbacks, remember, the invoice price that you’re getting "under" is WITH holdbacks. Plus the dealership might get an award, money, etc. for more/most sales. At worst they don’t make any money but get one more sale to look good.

Oh, I didn't realize that needed explaining, it's right there in black and white on the price list.

That's only my guess as to what he meant. I wanted to cover everything.

Don’t be sorry, it made me laugh.

As was already mentioned, yes, I'm buying my car from Karpro (Paul).
Or Karpro's dealership really. I unfortunately originally placed my order with another salesman. I don't think he understood what it meant to be a "StangNut" and it was like pulling teeth to get anything from him. (i.e. he was a typical salesman) Luckily Karpro stepped in and everything's great now.
The deal I'm getting (which I have in writing) is $200 under invoice plus AQHA IF it's still good when the car arrives.
BTW, his dealership is Van Bortel Ford in Victor, NY (upstate)
Also, they don't sell the Ford GT at that price.

Dealers get kickbacks for selling a certain amount of vehicles? I still tend to doubt that he sells ALL vehicles at $200 under invoice!

Just my thoughts
The dealer holdback isn't based on the number they sell.
ALL cars have a holdback. It's a set amount the manufacturer "holds back" until the car is sold and then credits the dealer. It's just a way to make it look like the dealer is giving a better deal than he really is.
Say invoice on a car today is $20,000. It really only cost the dealer $19,000 because once he sells the car, the manufacturer will credit him $1000 after he pays them the $20,000.
Several years ago, invoice numbers were kept private because that's what the dealer really paid for the car. Now EVERYONE knows what the invoice is.
As for doubting Kapro's numbers or anyone thinking there's something "funky" about it.
The ones you should be questioning are the dealers who sell for OVER invoice. Such as MSRP or over MSRP. This proves they are making a LOT of money off the average consumer.

Reeaallllyy?? Does that have to be honored by all Ford dealerships? Can it be combined with X-Plan?

No combination with X-plan, but yes they have to honor it, it doesn't cost them anything.

But there's a lot of them out there that don't.

I'll say a good word about Paul (Karpro) also: He was real up front about the Ford delays, how many orders would be in front of me, and the expected time frame as well as being nice and knowledgeable.

I'll be getting mine at/for the Pony Drive, but I would have ordered from Paul or Dale Moates (great sales guy) at Ed Shirling Ford in Alabama. Figured I'd plug him also since it's nice to find car salesman that don't fit the stereotype!

so hes just a salesman that gives good deals?
I wouldn't say "just" a salesman. Karpro has a FAR better knowledge of the product and the order process than most salesmen and is a major contributor to this forum. I don't mean to flame you, but felt someone should point this out if you haven't been following this forum closely.

If he were closer (I live in CA) I would have ordered from him!

If not for Karpro!
I would be a lost soul in this car buying world!
Wish I could have had him for my saleperson.
But I live in Hawaii, so far from NY!
His knowledge that he shares with us is a blessing
and would wish every dealer had him!
Thanks Karpro!
Happy Trails!!

I'll vouch for Dale also.
Very upront and knowledgeable.
He even kept me informed when I had already ordered my car from Karpro.
Dale's more of a people person than a salesman.
So if you're anywhere near southeast Alabama, look him up.

That incentive ran out on January 31st. They're not doing that discount anymore
