Trick question concerning headlights.
I've been a long time fan of this site but never contributed. I've got an 07 black GT on 20's and a 500hp 88 GT. Anyways:
I've purchased the agent47 ram air kit which moves your headlights to approximately where your fog lamps were. (fog lamps are deleted)
http://agentfortyseven.com/other_pro...air_other.html
Now I would love to be able to either disable my Daytime running lights or be able to turn my headlights off and on with maybe the old fog lamp pull switch?
Maybe I could just switch a few wires from the fog lamps and put them on the head lights so I can control when they are on and off?

I'm confused... You have daytime running lights? I didn't know any S197s had stock daytime running lights. But if you do, I don't see any reason you couldn't switch the wires that were originally for the fogs.
That's a pretty neat kit though, I've haven't seen that one before.

A quick search turned up two other options (although your first one still seems like it will work):
1) Apparently the S197s have DRL capability but they are usually disabled for most of the US and enabled in Canada. Are you in Canada? One solution is to find a dealer that will disable them for you. (I'd be curious to know if you could find a dealer willing to do that)
2) another option is to get these DRLs that use the bright element of your front blinkers. http://www.webelectricproducts.com/products.htm
Although this still requires that you disable your current DRLs.

I do live in Canada and have the DRL's.
I know the kit is illegal for street use but I couldn't find any laws or rules saying why.
I plan on using some super bright bulbs so I still have decent lighting at night but I just don't think the kit will look as good with the lights on full time during the day.

The reason that they're illegal is that they're too close together. Headlights have to be a certain distance apart. I've accidentally ran with my fogs only several times and cops haven't pulled me over, but that's not to say that they wouldn't.
State of NH:
Saf-C 3217.03 Lamp Function. A vehicle shall be rejected if:
(b) Any bulb, sealed beam unit, lamp or reflector does not meet manufacturer's specifications or violates federal motor vehicle safety standards.
(l) Replacement lamps or component parts shall be comparable to the manufacturer's original equipment.
Most states have similar rules.

Personally I think it is a lot easier to die on a bike without a helmet than a car without a seatbelt.
I always wear my belt in the car and a helmet on a bike no matter what the law lets you do.
+1....Me too, but even though I always wear my helmet and my seat belt I feel like it should be my choice.
I don't think you will have any problems, I don't know how it is in Canada but I think if it were here in FL were I live you would not get any hassles. I would probably be more worried about turning off DRL's (by the way I have always been against DRL's as many people who ride motorcycles are) if they are required because it would be much more obvious that no lights were on than were they were mounted.

Because it takes away from those of us on motorcycles, if everything on the road has it's lights on then you get use to it and don't even notice it, when it's just motorcycles with there light on you stand out thereby being notice and not run over or pulled out in front of. This is especially true in city traffic.
