Transmission

I have an Automatic transmission in my car, it doesnt want to shift into 1 though. Does anyone know why? I don't want to force it. I know that gear isn't important for I have Drive but it would be nice to know that I have that gear available to me.

Are you saying the shifter will not go into first gear or the trans doesn't shift into first gear?

It sounds like you just need to get the shifter cable adjusted..

It's just a cable that is adjusted so there are lots of things that could have moved it, so that it's just slightly out of adjustment.
