Dealer called this morning to tell me that my car was delayed. They're waiting to fill train cars back in MI.

Anyone else suffering from this problem?

 

HI deryn. I am in California like you and mine was shipped via rail on my status. My dealer also just called me and said it arrived in Hadley (some city in CA) off the train, and they are trucking it out to my dealer. Just wanted to tell you.

 

 

Hadley (Peak) is some small podunk town on the Humbolt county coast. Seems odd since the maine hub for dispersal is under the Benicia bridge.

 

Right on deryn .....your mustang sounds VERY similar to mine cant wait!

 

I'm in Maryland.

I have been told my car was shipped by Ford Customer Service.

My dealer is right on top of the situation. When asked what's up, they say "I dunno".

Brilliant, huh?

 

Better than them making something up.

 

My car was on a train in transit over a week ago. Last time I spoke to my dealer, I was told that the car should be arriving this past Friday or today. I'm not holding my breath on it arriving today, but hopefully it will sometime this week.

 

Two weeks ago it was in Convoy expected 10/14. Now the train is late.

It probably hasn't been put on a railcar yet then. My car shows Shipped to Convoy and in reality it is in a Quality Hold.

I was told that once the car is actually "on" the train, the system would return a railcar #.

Daryn- I didn't tell you to rub it in, I thought it might help. Here is some more info.


On September 23rd it said it was shipped via Carrier (i know, ok to ship wasnt given yet)
Then on October 11 it said shipped via rail with an ETA of 10/4 (yes, 4).


I got a call from my dealer saying it was in Hadley and being taken to the dealer. Just wanted to tell you so you had more info. Like you my ETA was 10/4. I'll PM you with more info

My dealer is telling me my car is STILL in Kansas City... It's been there for 2 weeks... It's just crazy when mosts dealershps in my area have them except mine.

 

I was told I had the first order from my dealership. I still haven't gotten mine yet. I went by lastnight, low and behold, there was an 05 GT there!!
My heart almost skipped a beat, then I came back to reality. It was not mine, it had the Bullitt wheels (mine is suppose to have machined), and it had the side airbags (not mine). That was all I could tell. I was PO'ed!!

I guess there is no order in when or what is sent to the dealer. Major F P'ed situation if you ask me!

So i am still waiting too in Virginia.

 

i just did a forddirect.com search and found out that my dealer has the V6 that was preordered too. I don't think they actually have it yet.
When I talked to my dealer they other day. Once the cars are listed as "shipped" they own them. So, it might physically not be here the computers list it in their inventory.

I went to the dealer to see about $$( I need a full time job)
And my salesman told me the train cars here have been delayed for quality hold.

Oh well, Im getting over this.
