Tragedy Strikes
Okay, everything's great. Woman's insurance company called just now and the woman accepted all fault. Progressive is sending a check to the body shop to cover all damages and won't even have to pay and then get reimbursed later. It's all covered, right from the get go, and no problems. Even offered me a rental car.
So, she can't drive and was paying no attention, but at least she was honest enough to tell the truth.

Bah on yall. I do it all the time in both of em. I just make sure to sandwich between other mustangs or park at the top where no one else is. Had good luck so far. Only bad parking lot luck I had was at Six Flags last summer- a door opened onto mine.
Sorry about your car
Cellphones are the worst. When people are driving, they should be paying attention to just that. They are moving 2 tons of metal , and that can hurt sensitive paint jobs, not to mention people, that might get in the way if they aren't careful. Glad to hear she's going to be repaired, you won't pay for it, and the metal wasn't touched.
Lumpy,
Glad to hear everything is going to be alright. If it every happens again however, don't move the vehicles if at all possible, and be sure to call the police. They can document it, even though they can't cite her since it was on private property. You were lucky in the fact that she owned up to it and had a good insurance company. If she would have disputed it, it would have been your your word against hers, (unless you got the video) and in the end your insurance most likely would have had to pay for your repairs, and her company only hers. Glad it worked out for you and that you, and B & E weren't hurt.

Accident & Police
THE SAME EXACT thing happened to my wife the other day in her pristine condition convertible. It happened at the public Library, she called me at work and I told her to call the Police so as to get a report. The police would not come out to take the report, said it was private property!!!!!! It was the City Library!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Rice Burning SUV POS that hit her had no damage, wifes vert was 800 bucks damage, luckily the car that hit her insurance is paying.

My police dept. does take accident reports on private property. If nothing else, it doesn't hurt to ask if you don't know. And the disposable camera in the glovebox is an excellent idea. No denying what damage was caused, where it happened, etc. when it's all on film.
Another idea is if the police won't take a report, to ask if an officer can come to the scene and help you get all the information you need for the insurance companies. Sometimes helps calm the nerves to have an officer stand by and help you get the info right, accidents are traumatic events and your not always thinking straight. Take it from a cop, I've seen a few accident scenes turned bar brawls, and it's no fun going to jail over a fender bender.

From similar events in the past, I paid the deductible up front to get the car fixed. Once the insurance companies settled, I got a check back for the deductible.
I have insurance with USAA and they actually give each driver an accident checklist to keep in the glove box. It seems kind of silly, but when it happens, the mind just stops working. So it's nice having a ready made checklist in the car.

Okay, car's back from the shop, and looks good as new. At first my wife and I thought it looked a little darker than the rest of the car, but it was just the sun (checked a few other places we stopped on the way home). I guess I was just being very picky, but it looks great, and the match is good. Glad this whole thing is over and done with...
