Should have never bought the automatic in the first place, poor decision on my part. Traded my black '06 GT for a Grabber Orange '07 GT. The new one was cheaper than my old one, has less miles (52K) and is a year newer. It does have cloth interior, but I don't mind it. If I can find leather seats from a wrecked Mustang or cheap leather seat covers, I'd probably go for it though. The Grabber Orange is a pretty cool color. It stands out for sure, but I don't think it's too over the top. I just washed it this morning and forgot how nice it is not to own a black car. I won't miss that at all. Black looks so nice when it's clean, but it's too much of a headache to keep it looking that way...and I washed mine once a week.
The stick shift is much more fun to drive than my automatic. Throttle response seems better, too. I'm no pro at driving a stick, but compared to the older cars I learned on, the Mustang seems pretty forgiving. Clutch is slightly heavy, but nothing unmanageable. Feels nice overall. Only mod I've done so far is changed the shift **** to one from a 2010 GT. It came with a K&N CAI, HID headlamps, blacked out pony emblem and GT badges and a blackout panel in the back. I think I'm going to replace those with the stock chrome badges and I need to get new center caps for the wheels. The Ford logo is worn off on 3 out of the 4 wheels? Odd, but not a big deal. I don't plan to do any major mods to it. That's what I did with my last car and I ended up regretting most of the changes. Just a few small changes to spruce up the interior and probably a tune and I should be set. Here are a couple pics from after I washed it this morning.

Yeah, the front plate law is so stupid. Ruins the look of almost every car. There are some light scratch marks behind the license plate, so I ordered some touch up paint to fix that. I'll probably order a set of bumper plugs after I do that and then just keep the plate in the glovebox or the trunk. If I get pulled over for not having it on, it's just a fix it ticket.

I bought an '06 auto and half the reason I ended up buying my '13 was to get back into a manual transmission car. It was fine for a few years, but the itch kept growing! And I am glad I made the switch!
Great looking car too!

Very nice! I love the 5 speed in mine as well. I have auto transmissions in my other two cars so this GT is really different and a lot of fun. I just leave it at home when I know I will be heading into heavy city traffic (Atlanta). That's when shifting gets old real quick.
No, I didn't. I actually prefer the look of the stock wheels. Like I said before, I did a bunch of changes to my '06 and just regretted all of them. I fell in love with the stock 05-09 design years ago and that's really what I like. Just went overboard with installing new stuff.
