Has anyone had theirs up to top speed yet? Ok what was it? For how long? Where? Manual or auto? No B/S please!
I ran mine up to 120 then backed off as it only had 320 miles and I did not want to hurt it. I like to break them in nice and easy for the first 1000.

Not ever having owned a governed car before.... with this system, how easy/difficult is it to reflash the chip and eliminate the governor? Not that anyone is going to push that number..... but there are those that will.... I guess I'm just curious.

I wouldn't think it'd be too difficult at all.

if the goverend top speed is 149 at 4550 rpm with a 6000 redline. wonder what the speed would be at 6000 after flashed?

how dangerous would it also be to flash and maybe not have it work right and have to put it back?

if you look at a MPH Calculator and figure the torque peters off at around 5500 RPMs, I remember seeing that it will do 182 in 5th gear..... if you can get it to carry that far. I'm sure you'd need a good tail wind... but at that speed, there is no tail wind. theoretically, it can do 208 if you take 5th gear to the rev limiter...... but physics says no. the drag coefficient is too great. I'd be surprised if you can get to 5000 RPMS in 5th gear.

gear ratios:

1st: 3.38
2nd: 2.0
3rd: 1.32
4th: 1.0
5th: .67

axle ratio: 3.55

tire size 255/50/17

Neither have I, but my cars were never a threat to any speed barrier.

I hit the rev limiter the other day. I never experienced that before. Kinda caught me off guard.

I've never pushed a rev limiter.... or at least never hit one, but I hit the governor on my wife's car..... I think it was a buck twenty, but that's really annoying.
with the rev limiter, did it just retard your throttle or did it shut the engine off?

When I test drove a Mustang a few weeks ago I accidentaly hit the rev. limiter. It was kind of weird but it just backed off the throttle. Its actually kind of comforting knowing you cant blow a rod or something....

I hit my rev limiter just once in my current car...just wanted to goose it. Problem was, I had driven my wife's automatic all day prior...so the brain got confused at that moment.

All it did was shut fuel off to the engine. One minute, I'm accelerating then *silence*. After a quick check of gauges...it dawned on me to shift to 2nd...fuel kicked in...engine kicked back in and away I went.

Actually, the factory rev limiter just doesn't fire the injuector or the plug, but u could still blow a rod if you're not careful with boost or nitrous, no matter what rpm u hit!!

Was this when you went to Flat Rock and in an 05 GT or in your current ride?

Does anybody know the coefficient of drag for the 2005 Mustang GT?

I hit 110 in my V6 rather quickly on the highway Tuesday
Question? In the V6's the gauge goes to 120 but will they go faster or are they limited to that? STOCK?
