WJones14 > I don't have any issues with the power, so I don't need a GT. My issue is with poor engineering and the overall cheap quality of the car. The looks are awesome.

RRoamer > only the seating surface of the front seats is leather. Everything else is vinyl, including the rear seats.

Exactly

Definite factors in the Jan/Feb sales decline.

The weather last winter was phenomenal, wearing shorts and playing golf in January. That plays a roll in people's decisions on what car they will/won't consider at the time.
Well said. For a 300 hp car under 30K MSRP, the GT is not bad. Irrespective of the Fact that the car has been continuously on the Market for 40+ Years and has an American Legend attached to it.

As for the appearance of the car, i can't tell you how many accidents either of mine cause as a result of Other's rubbernecking.

When i am paying anything under 80k MSRP for a car, i don't expect hand stiched and dyed leather seats w/ tons of electronic gadgets as is present in the "Luxuries".

IMO, i like that Ford spent the money where it counts, in the frame and the driveline.

Actually Mike, that is not true those of us who got the ICAP package. The rear seats are also leather. The sides of the front seats are also leather. The back is vinyl though. Given that I don't sit on the back of the seat, that doesn't actually bother me.

I don't want to seem like an idiot, but what's an ICAP Package? Maybe it's not available in Canada?

In my experience, the S197 really hasn't become stale at all. In the last 48 hours, I got three compliments on the car from strangers on the street, including a girl working the drive through that was literally getting turned on.

Maybe a bone stock GT will attract slightly less attention, but all you have to do is throw on some tints and a nice sounding aftermarket exhaust, and keep your car clean, and you will have plenty of people checking your car out.

I also have had none of the problems people are talking about. 18,000 miles and my car has never been back to the dealership. Sure, I have some rattles, but nothing I worry too much about.

I agree. The car is only a little over two years old, for crissake - and it's a brand new model.

I subscribe to the "less is more" philosophy. Ford nailed the design straight out of the factory. A nice set of wheels with the right tires that compliment whatever color you've chosen is really all you need to turn heads with this car. Even the stock exhaust has plenty of rumble.

Shouldn't REALLY have rattles after only 18K though.

You're correct, except that we're talking about JAN / FEB 07 vs JAN / FEB 06. March 07 is only 6 days old. We won't have March 07 sales #s for another 26 days.

Who...?

Show me another car that competes with it. Right now.
The majority of Mustang sales are V6s.
The V6 Mustang has lots of competition.
