Too Fast Even for the ERL
#1
After a year of saving (and three years of wanting this car) I ordered it the day after Thanksgiving (it's a black V6 w/ Pony Package, IUP, manual transmission) and was told that it should be here by the end of January. I thought that was awful fast with the plant going to be shut down for a couple of weeks. I began checking the ERL last week and she had no info about my car at all ... I figured then that I would be lucky to get it by the end of February. Then low and behold, I called Saturday night and my car had already been made and shipped.
Then the word came today that it had arrived. This happened so fast that I had to scramble to get the $$ from the bank ... I'll pick her up after work tomorrow evening? Can't wait!!
Question ... I know that the wait for a V6 isn't anything like that for a GT, but have you heard of anyone getting their car this fast?

That's awesome, congrats!
I think the wait for GT is varying quite a bit depending on the region you live in. If my estimated delivery date is correct, it will be right around 2 months from order to delivery for my GT.

Man, that was fast! I ordered my `06 GT coupe on 9/24/05. It was delivered to my dealer on 12/7 and I picked it up on 12/10. So it was essentially 10 weeks for me from order to purchase. But it was well worth the wait!
