Great Idea! Can't wait to see the entries. I won't be entering mine because from what I've seen on this sight there's going to be some tough competition.

You guys.

Once all entries are received, I'll start a poll for each class. Forum members choose their favorites and prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each class.

Then the moderating team will choose Best Engine Bay, Best Paint, and Best Photography, and Scothew and I will choose Best in Show.

I entered but I need to go find, or take, some pics! Anyone got a heater big enough to thaw out NE Ohio?

Richard... my guess is they mean best photography. I think they'll judge that on artistic merit and the way the pictures look, rather than the look of the car itself.

This on-line car show is really a great idea. Unfortunately for me, it's not looking like I will have my car back from the shop by the deadline. I will be getting it back the middle to end of next week. No way to extend it a few days, huh? Oh well... hope this is just the first of many. There's always next time. Although I doubt I can be in the top 3 of any class with all the great cars on this forum.

Ian, you could always go a little Picasso or Dali with your photography if you go to the shop.

I am actually going to the shop today to look at the car. The stripes should be all done. All they need to do now is buff/ polish the car, install the airbag and seatbelt mechanism, and the air conditioner condensor unit. I will bring the camera to take a few pics. But no way I'm entering in the car show with the car looking like that. After I get the car back, I still need to reinstall the rocker stripes (they are half on/ half off right now) the hood pins and the side scoops. I'm looking at having the car all done no earlier than next Friday. Oh well... there's always next year.

I think I'm going to push the deadline back a few weeks to get more entries.

That'd work for me. I haven't even taken pics yet because this weather won't let me keep my car clean for more than an hour.

Cool - I tried to get a new rear 3/4s shot yesterday for my submission and wasn;t 100% happy with the results. An extra week or two would be great Brad!

Brad, that would be great of you, to push it back to the middle of March. It's downright freezing here in Southeast PA, and I want to get some nice shots up at the lake near my place. If you can let us all know when the new deadline is that would be super.

I just entered my car. I have pics I can send, but I think I might take some better ones before submitting anything!

Has the deadline changed? I would like to enter, but my car has been in the garage since it arrived in November. I can take the pictures there, but I'll have to move it around a bit to get the shots. I also don't understand the April 1 deadline. Isn't the deadline Feb 28 with the voting ending Mar 30?

Do you actually want the pictures submitted at the highest possible JPEG level as stated in the picture taking tips or would you prefer pictures in a 640x480 format so they can be posted easier?
