Question Tire Wheel Combo

I'm looking at 18 x 10 deep dish Bullits for the rear and 18 x 9's in front. Whats a good tire for this application and has anyone had any clearance problems??

255/45-18 on the 18 x 9's and 285/40-18 on the 18 x 10's seem to be the tire sizes of choice.

These sizes in 18's will get you close to stock (27.18"):
235/50-18 @ 27.25"
255/45-18 @ 27.04"
265/45-18 @ 27.39"
285/40-18 @ 26.98"
295/40-18 @ 27.29"

I would suspect they all would... it just depends on how much you want the sidewall to hang over the wheel. Some tire manufacturers would not advise it, depending on how their sidewall was designed to be run.... but... I had 295s on a 17x9 wheel... and could have gone 315, except I couldn't rotate those to the front... so I didn'. The tires I was running were BFG Comp T/As ... Z rated obviously.

255/45 is recommended as the largest to go on the stock 18-inch wheels.

I am not a tire expert, but I would agree with the 255's for the stock 18 x 8.5" wheels, as the largest, based soley upon what I've read on these forums. Take a look at Adrenalin's thread http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=35039 (post#1) about his car, and I think you'll come away with the same conclusion regarding tire sizes for the aftermarket 18 x 9" and 18 x 10" wheels as I stated above. Some have gone to larger sizes, but the potential for other issues is something I personally would not want to experiment with.
