Through no fault of our own(see OT chatter) My POS mechanic worked on the bronco, and somehow the accelerator stuck- which totaled it when it hit another vehicle........This leaves us with one vehicle.

With no vehicle to work in- well......you know the story- we are sharing the olds. Which with me needing my car a few times during the week, and my husband needing a vehicle every day because well....people need phones and voice mails and networks........

I am throwing myself on the mercies of the vehicle gods this morning. If it all works out( I have 15% to throw down, which was my Eleanor fund) Electra will come home today. NOT Eleanor mind you, because well......it won't be. This will be Electra.IF it works out.

Will keep everyone posted. I am not highly optimistic, because well, only half my stuff is removed from my report yet. If it does, I will have pics before sunset.

This will be my husbands daily driver- which is why I am going to go for yellow. I am going to hold out for DHG or an equivalent in 06 now. (Original plan, pay off olds, sell Bronco, get second new vehicle).

Keep your fingers crossed.

I'm in a similar situation with my Bronco.... it's falling apart fast.... I've been chasing problems and I'm at my wit's end. I've got a problem firing in all cylinders, and I know it's not the ignition.... changed wires, plugs, cap, rotor, EMI on distributer, coil, the whole 9 yards... I don't know if it's a bad injector or perhaps the injector harness, but it's got an ODB I computer, so any diagnostics on a computer aren't going to give me specifics like which injector, or whatever. My tranny was newly rebuilt 3 years ago, but it no longer wants to go into 4th... it just slips and drops back into 3rd. I've replaced the transmission rotation sensor, which resolved a huge amount of problems I had with it before... So, now I don't know if the current tranny problem is due to the computer reconfiguing for the fact that I'm running on half the friggin' cylinders, or what the deal is. My T-case only goes into 4 wheel drive when it feels like it, not when I want it to, and I'm tired of chasing this mess. My problem is, I'm not willing to compromise on the IUP issue. So, now I'm at the crossroads.... do I pay someone to fix my truck? do I pay someone to diagnose it and I fix it myself? do I continue to chase these problems on my own? do I just say screw it and buy an in-the-mean-time car..... which will probably be a '98-2000 F-150, and wait for the Mach 1, or whatever the SE is that's coming out?

Welcome to our hades!! We had all that and then some. Its been a huge money pit- like 10k total sunk into it over the purchase price.

Right now I am looking for a Christmas miracle.

I think I'll settle on a kick to the nuts ..... I'm on my 3rd engine (way long story), 2nd tranny, just did the head gaskets a few weeks ago, and no sooner do I finish 1 major repair.... in comes 2 more.

I was going to wait until spring to order a Mustang, but now this.... I would go to the dealer after work and order if there wasn't an issue with not being able to get the IUP, and my POS donkey isn't going to make until spring....

just shoot me now.

I just got popped up to FULL TIME at work...No talk of a raise.........Five days a week now up from 2.5 joy. I and my husband too because we work at the same company could totally use a Christmas fortune from my high dollar boss.

I swear, if there was ever a Christmas miracle needed, send it my way please....

I can live without a car during the day- my commute is down a flight of stairs, He can not because he travels and doesn't fly. Somethings gotta happen.

Ford Motor Company is trying to send me a message- you don't need a mustang.......Something funny like that........Know how I said something always happens? Here we go.

PS- no new news from the two salesmen I begged for mercy with. oh well............

Hey congrats!! Who cares if its not an 05... It's a new car Baby steps first then you can start running. Reliable transportation is very important. And there is NO plain jane mustang.... If there was it would be called Neon... Or Kia anything... or Grand Am.... or GTO... Congrats again.

Congrats April. Bet you got a great deal on the '04. I hear some dealers are very cheap on them right now. Makes it pretty hard to resist if you're on a budget. Enjoy the new car!
