You guys may think I'm crazy since I just ordered on 02/10, but I'm giving it another week and if there is no movement, I'm out. I'll find one online somewhere, fly out to get it, and drive it back. Its not that I'm tired of waiting, I just refuse to let Ford put me through all the BS they have some of you guys that have been waiting for months. I just don't have the patience to put up with Fords moronic ordering system. If they can't get an order in line to be built in a months time, let alone 4 months, yet others get scheduled in one week, something is definitely wrong and its a game I refuse to play.

But... in the meantime I'm still hopeful that tonight may be the night.

I just called at 10:40PM EST and the evil bot lady said "As of March 2nd C&U." Does that mean I'm screwed for another week or do the pulls happen later?

Thanks!
Ryan
I did the same thing...called about 20 minutes ago. Heard exactly the same thing. I am little worried. Here goes ANOTHER week I fear.

Yeah, this kind of freaks me out because all day she said "As of March 1st..." then it just went to the 2nd. I just hope that this isn't an indication that I wasn't pulled.

Good luck!! I ordered 1/3/05 and THe evil voice at the 1-800 number nearly drove me out of my mind! I hope you have better success than I. One good thing about waiting is at least all the bad things like fuel tank problems, bad shaker stereo, bad front ends, rear ends, missing bolts etc.. are solved..I havent had a single issue (except for my imagination running wild watching for problems)

I wish you the best in your search, Ryan - at various times over the past 2-1/2 months I've spent literally hours on forddirect.com looking for a GT *anywhere* in the US remotely like the one I ordered 80 days ago. True, I did find some, but they were all loaded up with options by the clueless dealers who ordered them and thought that everyone would want every single option on their GT. Not me. The very few I did find that were close to mine I called about; they were either already sold or they wanted a premium above MSRP. I won't pay above MSRP, and I'm picky about the options, so I'm still waiting. Like I said, best of luck if you jump ship, but if you want a GT your way Ford has you by the short ones.

I've already said that if I don't get pulled by April 1 I'm going to try & find it somewhere w/ in 500 miles of here & bring it back. Which is gonna be hard because in Minnesota, 500 miles puts you in Canada & the Dakotas. So Its definately gotta be somewhere south of here. Can I get some love in KC or St Luie? Psst. Its midnight EST, anyone besides me calling again?

None to be found around here...in the entire KC area I have only seen a Sonic Blue GT and a Legend Lime GT currently for sale. If I don't have a VIN by April 1, I am cancelling and ordering a 2006 in May.

KCTim. As of about 6 weeks ago I was the 40th oldest order in the KC region. I was told that I'm looking at May. No offense, but if you get pulled ahead of me, I might needto have a chat with the area rep. All I have heard for 8 weeks is "This week or next". I'm glad he is honest.

I Love the computer lady this morning and the GM of my dealership! "As of March 3rd your order has been serialized" YEAAAAH I call at 6:30am, so it took 5 weeks and 4 days to pull. I really do hope some more of you got pulled last night (KCTim, Ryan all the people who order in 04) Goodluck!!!

Still C/U. I think I am with KansasCityTim, no VIN by April, I think I will order a '06 in May and wait. It is stange that the 6 or local dealers in Omaha have 4 or 5 GT's between them. But, go out to the lone dealer in Fremont about 20 minutes away they have 3 in inventory. Fords ordering system stinks! :notnice:

I was at Lithia Ford about a month ago. There were three new GTs sitting out front. I asked and he told me that they were three "extra" allocations the rep gave them. Nice huh. KC area has extra, but not for orders.

I could have done that. I found the same car but with leather at another local dealership but it would have cost me 3 grand more.
I'll wait. B)

Seems like only Lithia, Atchley and possibly Diers (Fremont) have had a decent number of GT's. The other dealers have had a couple at best. I am supposedly first in the order line at Schrier. We'll see. I am starting to wonder if they can deliver with their allocation.

Well, after 6 weeks of C/U, I began emailing other, higher volume dealers in the KC area to see if they would be dealing on 2006 convertibles, or if they would be sticking to MSRP. The one I have on order is $1000 over invoice, which is good, but not unheard of by any means, so I am not going to dump that order just to pay more over invoice someplace else. I guess I will see if I hear any good news back from anyone.

this thread was started because...?
for all the people that have acually ordered instead of hoping to someday like you jerkoff!

Now Mark, was that really necessary?
