Is this throwout bearing bad? Off center?

This is the OEM Ford tob. Is it supposed to be this off center? Seems like it would put uneven pressure on the pressure plate. There's no play back and fourth, I don't know if it's supposed to be like that or if it was dropped or something. Thanks

I did a bit more searching and while I can't find anything for this year, it looks like the older models were self aligning and were off center like this. Any input on these models? I think these were from 05 up

I wonder if it centers when pressurized.

I think I have a new one in the box from a few years ago that looks the exact same way. I always wondered if it was ****ed up or supposed to be that way.

I changed mine and it didn't look like that. It was centered. Have you tried to press on it to see if it will center on rebound?

Great. So far you're the only one to tell me yours was centered but that's enough for me to worry. Mine looks the same all the way down and back up

Just replying to this old thread to answer any future reader's question, yes, this is normal. I took mine down to a ford dealership and compared it with one of their new in box parts and it's exactly the same, so no worries.
