Just got a call from Randy at Lewis Ford, he said they have a mineral grey GT being unloaded right now. I'm going to swing by there on the way home from work and check it out...I have my digital camera with me.
Also, Dobbs Ford (on Stage Rd.) said they were expecting a GT in today with a few more coming soon after that one.

edit: the sales guy's name is Rusty. I don't know where I got Randy from. :bang:

The GT at Lewis Ford was a preorder, and the owner and his wife took delivery of it while I was there. I got a chance to briefly sit in it, but the new owner was coming and I exited promptly. All the customers were looking at the car before it exited the dealership. I heard when it was delivered today, there were people hanging all over the car hauler just to see the car.

Well, i didn't get to go by Lewis or Dobbs, but i went to Homer Skelton Ford in Olive Branch, and saw a V6 and a GT. A Torch Red GT was leaving, as i pulled in the lot. (Wow, did it sound good!) A lady was driving it.

A Sonic Blue V6 was in the showroom. Man, was it ever pretty. It had the light gray interior with the IUP. Leather and Shaker 500 stereo with an automatic trans. I sat in it and played with everything, and probably annoyed the sales guys. Oh, well.

This was my first time seeing one in person, and it is everything i was hoping for. Made me sad, when i had to get back in my old Cobra and drive home.

well, I didn't make it out there either. Apparently my Miata didn't like the idea of me going to check out the Mustang and decided to overheat on the way there!!! I limped home and changed the thermostat. Kept me fingers crossed on the way to work this morning but no luck...overheated again. It's now at the dealer getting a new radiator. :bang:
And I was going to swing by Lewis on the way home today...guess not if the GT is gone already. Maybe I'll go anyway (and to Dobbs)...maybe i'll get lucky and they got another in today.

If my recently fried computer lets this work, it looked like this

I should have introduced myself to you. I was lurking in the background talking to one of the techs, Brian. Should you require any service on your new car, I'd ask for him to work on it. He used to work for Dobbs and did a lot of work on my '99.

Congratulations on your new ride! I hope you're enjoying it.

Kind of makes me mad that I am not in Memphis now. I go to Colorado and BAM they show up in Memphis. Does everyone here live in the Mid-South? It sure seems like it. P.S. Dont buy any from Landers Ford, they are all jerks and are very very mean to the service department, I know, I used to work there.

There is a white GT at the West Memphis dealership. (Just over the New Bridge into Arkansas). Saw it yesterday and nearly wrecked my car.

I live in Southaven, Ms., so I will be checking around as well. As of yesterday, there weren't any 05s at the Southaven Ford dealership, but there were several 04s.

Mine might be in by the mid to end of next week in Memphis, but NLT 11/3. I'd be glad to arrange for some folks to look at it after it arrives, if they are still scarce in the area by then.

As of 9:45 a.M. friday 22nd southhaven and olive branch didnt have any.

I dont know if landers are jerks but I do know they are very high priced and dont deal as well as other dealers. Dobbs acted as if they didnt even want to talk to us on a car.

We bought my wifes GT from homer skelton and my 03 cobra off the used lot at lewis ford. Had a pretty decent experience with both. As good as you can have when dealing with car dealers and salemen that is.
