Are these guys actually telling the truth or what? I have found that forum to pretty much suck, but I just wanted to get everyones opinion, especially KevinB's

They placed an order FOR an order. You can "order" anything, even a BAC Concorde in Dark Shadow Grey with the IUP on a buyers order.......

 

There is nothing wrong with reserving a car, but I hope the salesman made it clear. And I sure HOPE they didnt agree on a price :shock:

They are definitely just getting on the dealers list for calling people as soon when you can order one. I got on today .

 

Well they do have a list for calling people- my butt kissing salesman said I was at the top of the list to be called when the time comes. I just got a new email from him yesterday- apparently he is worried because I have not shown my face up there in over a week. What else can I do? Nothing, so why waste 1/4 tank of $2 gas? B)
And I quote: When it comes time to order you are at the top of that list.

 

OT Isn't human nature funny. I am not excluding myself, but it's interesting how people always have to measure themselves up against anything and everything that could be considered competition. just thinking out loud. :P

With all the idiot salesmen and crazy rumors going around, you have to stop new ones before they get started. Someone may read that thread and get upset when their dealer truthfully tells them that they can't place an order. The customer will go to a dealership that will lie and tell them they can place an order, and it encourages salesmen to be dishonest.

 

I know it's a load of Hooey. I still find it amusing- I betcha $10 theres a bunch of other people who are "at the top of the list".

I got this this morning about the 5/24 order date though: I get to see a full size glossy of Eleanor any time now-

uu huh.. That's what my dealer said to me too. They must really like us more than everyone else. They probably say that to everyone that asks about them.

Somehow I don't think it's like ticketmaster. You won't have to camp out side the dealer the night before to get your order in at 9:01. It won't matter. We won't get them any faster.
