There's a Stripper in My Garage

Just picked up a 2208 Alloy Grey Deluxe Mustang GT stripper with manual transmission on the way home from work today. It took me weeks to find a Deluxe GT with ZERO options in my area (right side of window sticker was blank).

I'm a former LX 5.0 5-speed owner from way back and this was a close as I could get. I have been checking this site daily for years (feels weird to type "years"). Long-time lurker. I even remember Grantsdale - what happend to that guy anyway?!

I've only put 15 miles on this thing and I love it. Much more refined than I expected, but all business when provoked!

Sorry no pics yet, since it was dark when I got back home.

ps. Thanks everyone for all of the great information I found on this site. This site is by far the best source of Mustang information, period. Especially for S197s. If not for this site I would have probably bought a 2005 GTO. Thanks for saving me!!!

And thanks for all of the positive comments. Anyone who is not set on a color should really take a look at the Alloy Grey before buying. For 3 years now, I thought for sure I would go with Performance White. Once I saw Alloy in person that was it.

Alright, I'm gonna nanner myself now:

Congrats on the Alloy.
Good color choice.
Good choice on the stripper ( I hate leather seats).

NOT a typo. It IS a 2208. I would send you pictures (as you call them) but you would need a holo-converter with a 4-stage phase stratifier to even open the... uh oh. I've already said too much. Oh no! They're here! No, nooiaisrp;jgdiscccccccccccccccccccccc

Sorry. I was TUI (Typing while Under the Influence) last night.

It's a 2008 Deluxe GT.

Congrats and........nanners

I too bought a base model as I didn't want leather or IUP. When I change to the GT 500 stering wheel and the stock speakers all will be well in the interior.

When I searched for my 07 there were only 2 manual tranny strippers within a 300 mile radius of me and that includes Austin-Dallas-San Antone-Houston. Truly was a hard one to find.

stripper stangs are the best. I ordered my 07 GT Deluxe with the bare necessities:
Shaker 500
All-weather floor mats
3.55s
TR-3650
Spoiler delete

It does not have the IUP or leather seats which I see on almost every S197. Even Rental V6 Mustangs have the IUP!
