it's good for 21 hours. In real life use i've gone 1 to 2 weeks without having to charge my battery, they also have replacement batteries for later generations.
worth looking into if your battery is starting to fizzle out. It was easy to change for the 2nd gen also

it might be harder than mine was as the 2nd gen came apart pretty easily
