Thanks For The Tips !!

Well I did it !

Picked up the beast on Wednesday evening after work ! I had been torn between 3 colors for a solid week. Everything was in line waiting on me to make up my mind on the color. I was given some great information, and advice on color choices from members here, and I am grateful. I decided to go with my first choice of Torch Red ! There are a few red ones in the area, but by the time I get finished adding a few details, it will be a bit different than the rest. I have an appointment on Monday morning for the window tint. Next will be the stripes and I am thinking about the Rally stripes as opposed to the LeMans stripes. Most Mustangs I see around Nashville have the LeMans stripes, and I like to be a bit different usually. hehe Then I will be in the market for some flush mount louvers for the rear quarter windows.

Fueled up for the first time today, after leaving the dealership on Wednesday evening with a full tank. 257.3 miles on 12.5 gallons. I can live with that ! 20.584 MPG.

Only pics I have so far are the ones I took at the dealership. Car was a bit nasty. Will get better pics after I get a few things done to it.

Thanks to all those who helped me get off my azz and pick a color !

First pic is how she sits now. Other is the stripe I am thinking about adding.

Congrats on your new Mustang Alfster! She's a beauty, and will look even better with the stripes IMO. I went through the same thing with the decision about colors. Actually, even though I got the satin silver, I still haven't made up my mind

I was thinking of getting that stripe as well. I like the look of the wider pin stripes more, compared to the ones that BSM sells, but I like BSM's price better. Decisions, decisions. Dont forget to post some pics after you get it installed.

Gonna take me a while to "get with the program" as this is my first Mustang. I'm way behind on all the latest and greatest mods, but hopefully with plenty of reading, I can catch up soon !

You guys are the best !

Speaking of which, does anyone know of any company that is selling something similar to the Pony Corral that WebElectric Products used to sell ? Seems they are not selling it anymore. I think that insert gives the grille more of a retro look. My dealer thought he had one left from when he ordered some a while back, but he could not find it.

Congrats Les!
Love the Torch Red myself. If they had the Candy Apple red when I got mine, it might have been a tough call for me, but I've no regrets.
My brother-in-law calls it arrest-me-red
Do alot of reading, there is alot of info on these newer Stangs.
Also, check out the Torch Red Registry;

+1 on the stripes. This is what I am going to get on my Stang once it shows up. I am getting the Dark Candy Apple Red and putting on the Gold rally stripes from Bob White. I like the wide center stripe with the two narrow ones better than the two semi-wide strips. And Bob has been very responsive to me questions.
