I bought it... OMG! The sound of this car is fabulous. Handling is great.

The sales guy said he had never been scared on a test drive before. First time he rode in the new GT.

Well I must say, pictures will come shortly. First sunny day it will get a pre-winter wax treatment.

Will not miss my vert on the really hot days.

The head turning on the highway was very good for my ego too. Drove by some nice 02 and 03 GTs too. They all flicked their lights at my baby.

 

how would you best describe the color? i'm getting a mineral grey and want to get a good pic in my head on what the color really looks like in person- pictures probably dont do it justice. I cant just drive down to the dealer and look at one, im stationed overseas... any info is great- thanks

Mineral Gray is great. On a dark day it looks real mean. On a sunny day there are some brassy undertones. I particularly like the late day sun reflecting off of it because then you get some reds too. Remember that this is a metalic paint. It is slightly darker than champagne. and the color of ginger ale in a glass with a brown backdrop behind it. Cream soda in a glass may look like the color as well.

There are many Ford Explorers with this tone driving around too.

Tinted windows on this color look really good too.

 

I'll bet it looks very nice.I ordered mine with the Bullitt wheels and the IUP.The first thing I am going to do is get the windows done.Did you get the windows done yet?I would love to see pic of it with the tint.I don't think I will see mine tell after Thanksgiving at the earliest.I ordered it on 9-17-04

 

I do not like the squeeks that tinted windows eventually cause. So this time I will not do it. Unless there is a new tint that avoids the problem.

Sara ~ If you could get someone from home go to the dealership they should have a brochure of 2005 paint chips. Maybe they could shed you one. You won't be sorry with the color though. I had an 02 the same color & LOVED it. When a guy hit me & totalled the car I was ticked cuz the color wasn't offered anymore. So, needless to say I was psyched when I discovered it was avaible again in 05. Excelent choice.

You know, I actually kind of like the minimalist approach without the IUP on the black interior. Looks nice. If I had the money to get an 05, I'd still get the IUP but it definitely looks nice without it on your car mate
