I went to my dealer and got my VIN ( ) but I have a "TEMP DELAY" on my car.

It appears that GT's with IUP's are still listed as having "scheduling backups/delays" (re: www.airfleet.com).

Does anyone know the current situation regarding this?

Did anyone have a "TEMP DELAY" listed and how long before it was built after that?

I hate delays :bang:

I ordered on Sept 25 and my temp delay was in place for two weeks. That was in the middle of the sortage right before they illiminated V6 for IUP

My Temp Delay lasted a week, but my build week turned out to be 11/22. So that's 3 weeks from release from temp delay to build. At least so far anyway.

Thanks Scott!

I just wish it would come a.s.a.p. This "temp delay" is bugging me. I was told it would be built on the week of Nov. 8th. Now its showing temp delay. :bang:

Mine was pulled 10/29 (approx) with Temp Delay. Temp Delay removed 11/5. Still no build date or ETA.

I ordered on 9/23, every GT before me, including mine had the Temp Delay. It wasin place for about 7 days, and then I got my VIN, and build date. After all is said and done, I will get my car at about 12 weeks.

Edited to add: I meant every GT before me at my dealer.

Guess I'd better call my dealer tomorrow as my GT was scheduled to be built this week as well. I have not slept in the past 2 days, this sure isn't going to help.

Same deal here. But, when they stopped the iup for the V6 my build date was moved up a week. I hope to see my girl this week or the next. But, I don't want to get my hopes up. I think that my co-workers are just as pumped as I am.

So, hold on...

Thanks guys and gals. Well, it sounds like this temp delay is adding a week or two onto the waiting time. I'll just have to sit tight and hope that it gets lifted soon.

I haven't checked the car's status for a week-week and a half so it could be near the end of the temp delay.

Well, at least I have a VIN.

OK! I finally got some information out of my dealership...well Ford Customer Relations got information about my order from my dealership. They said the status is temp delay. Does that mean I have a VIN? Does that mean my order was pulled and just delayed for a bit? If so, I might be willing to give Woody another chance since the GT in Memphis was the wrong color. I will probably stop by the dealership this afternoon to check it out, but I wanted to see what some of the information generous people think.

But then again, I really like the red..and all the extra options it has that my order doesn't have. decisions, decisions.
