[/quote]
Well she come home from visiting her brother and we all went out to eat and I just had to have dessert and they brought her keys instead.....luckily we were only 2 minutes from the house....and she ran into the house.....and she really couldn't say anything....speechless, and lots of hugs for dad and then basically I didn't see her the rest of the evening....she would call and tell us who she was riding around with periodically! She went to school this morning and no negative comments whatsoever....just friends calling "shotgun" for each day at lunch!

Texas mom,
You are a testament to what parenting is all about.
I give you credit for putting up with the negative comments and taking the high road.
You obviously love your family bunches and in the mean time taught them what hard work is all about and what it's rewards can be.
Great story.

I dont really have any opinion on your parenting methods, but I do take exception to the "yellow card threat." I understand that it is a privately owned site and thus independent from the Bill of Rights, but
isn't the entire point of a forum to share views with one another, whatever they may be?
That said, I wish you and your daughter the best of luck, hopefully Ya'll can pull her some strings when she needs a job.

Congrats on the presentation going well. I was going to say something about all the negative comments when you first said that you were going to give your daughter the car, but decided against it. I salute you for not stooping to their level. When my two daughters get old enough, I hope I can buy them Mustangs.
