I think the '05's to current are an awesome blend of great things from past years incorporated with today's modern conveniences and advances in technology.
With that said, there is one thing I noticed beginning in the '05's that is missing - and I wish Ford had incorporated it!
The '05's with the leather interior don't have anything "Mustang" inside except for the horn button. In my '70 Mustang, the bright light indicator lamp was in the shape of a Mustang, and when you had your bright lights on, the Mustang was Red. That would be a cool option to bring back that I haven't seen or heard about yet.
What do you all think???

I thought about this too after I picked my car up.
However, there is now an international set of standard symbols for instruments and indicators that are used by all auto manufacturers. I don't know how stickly enforced this is, but the horse shaped indicator would certainly violate this.

My sister had a highland green 1970 coupe with a white convertable top. It was a 6cyl with an auto, but I loved that car and yes, I distinctly remember that bright little highbeam pony.
Nice detail! I voted YES!

I don't care what the symbol looks like but I wish it would dim a little, like the rest of the gauges, with the dimmer switch!
When driving at night in isolated areas (no streetlights), I like to dim my guage lights to cut down on glare so I can see better. But if I put on the brights, that darned indicator causes more glare than anyhting else. The only way to block it seem to drive with my hand at the 12 o-clock position but then the indicator can't be seen at all (defeating the purpose of a reminder that the brights are on).

This is something I never would have thought about. There are sure a number of things I'd like to see Ford address on the Mustang, but this isn't one of them.
My priorities would be:
Less clunky clutch
Less clunky rear-end
21st century antenna (you know, invisible)
And if they are going to change anything on the dash, I'd want the numbers on the speedo a bit more legible...maybe a bit further apart. (Although this might be more of a problem with these eyes than the speedo.
