Hey all, I want to pull my door panels and take them to an upholstry shop. I'm thinking I can still use the car, just the switches will be hanging loose. My question is, am I right? Can I still get in and out? I don't have to take the inner handle off do I?

What upholstery work will you be doing?

 

The inner door handle comes out with the door panel. I THINK you could reattach the cable and the door handle mount after removing the door panel, but it has been too long since I had my door panels off to remember for certain.

If you can't reattach the door handle, you should be able to rig up some kind of lever to pull the cable that operates the door latch.

 

I'm taking the doors to get black leather installed like on the premium GT's and CS's. I have a black 06 pony package with a tan interior. There was a little too much tan and plastic in there so I changed out the carpet to black, black leather seats and soon to have black leather on the door panels. I think a black/tan combo is hot. Nav is installed in the dash and Installed the mycolor guages. The car is looking better, but I feel like I have to keep going now that I have the mod-bug. Once I figure out how i'll post some pics.
