Question To stripe or not to stripe, that is the question

So my old vinyl stripes were starting to crack after a little over 4 years and I had to remove the ones off the trunk and the rear bumper to facilitate the recent mods. So I removed all the stripes while I was at it. So, should I keep it plain or put the stripes back on?

In my opinion the back looks a bit plain without the exhaust. I am not 100% sure that stripes is the answer though cause the rest of the car looks classy without the stripes.

I agree about the rear looking a little plain but I dont think stripes is the answer. I think you should add a blackout panel and black tail light trim of some kind.

NO!!!! Dont do it! Especially if they its that B.S vinyl junk. Get it painted if you decide to do it, then you dont have to worry about cracking again. :-)

They are flat black stripes, so not an easy colour to paint and clearcoat and remain a flat look. Besides I don't mind paying $300 for vinyl stripes instead of over $1000 for paint.

Just my two cents here, but I am totally on the fence about the stripes. If you do go with stripes it'll look killer. If you go without stripes it'll look killer but will need a panel or something on the rear. Also, you adding the emblem to that ducktail or not?

Yes, it is on now, I had to get a small run in the clearcoat polished out. It does help "add" to the back of the car.

Hmm normally I would say stripe it, but I think it looks great without the stripes.

I say don't stripe it. If you got the emblem, add a nice rear panel and maybe swap out the faux gas cap for something more personal. The car came out excellent.

What's the point in striping? Once you go FI, very few are going to get close enough to see them. Save your money for supporting mods, like suspension and improved traction.

I agree, don't stripe it. As big a fan as I am of stripes, the way yours came out looks excellent the way it is. I think stripes may be a bit over the top. She's clean and sleek now - stick with it.

I think if it was mine I would not stripe it but I do agree that the rear could use something. I would get a black out panel and tint the tail lights. JMO.

Never thought of tinted tail lights. Probably illegal in BC, but I will look into that.

I vote no stripes and a black out panel as well, but if you have to go stripes, how about one fat one in the middle and then one skinny one on each side?

I would go with KR style stripes. The fat one with the two pinstripes. I think that will lend well to the over all styling of the car as it sits

I think center-mounted fogs look totally out of place without stripes. Go for it.
