Well, in addition to TONS of staring, thumbs up, questions about the car, token rides, etc etc. A guy in a car in front of me stopped at a stop sign put his car in park and jumped out. He walked back to the car and was going a little nuts. "Dude!! That is AWESOME!!" Were his first words. Then he proceeded to tell me he has ordered one and that the dealer told him that NO GTS were shipping. I told him to hit forddirect.com and find his car. They are out there. Warned him about gouging and said he shouldn't pay over MSRP.

He was quite excited. Was also willing to tell me that before this car, he would've never considered a Ford.

I think there will be more people like him checking them out.

I did that once to a guy in an 03 cobra when they first came out, but he was messing with me in traffic, so we had a cool conversation while the light was red. I think your story is hilarious though.

Awesome

People are going to be dumbstruck by this car for the next couple of months...but even after that it will still draw stares (much like the TT and SL500)

This Car Definitely draws lots of looks. :drive:
I had a car following me on the freeway with a video cam,,
So I gave them some good shots. lol.
I would have been the same way if I saw this beauty on the road..
Haven't seen another one yet in my town,
But we all know that will change soon....
This car is sweeeeeeett. :worship:

I was stopped at a side street trying to turn onto main road and a guy doin 40 slammed on the brakes and stopped in the middle of the intersection. Stared for a couple of minutes as people passing him on the shoulder were giving him the bird, then when he realized what it was gave me the thumbs up and left. My friend that was with me laughed his butt off.

In the northern states even longer I think. Cause most people don't want to buy a new mustang right now and drive it all winter. You won't see a ton of them running around until next summer I would say...

Lots of people stopping me too. I pulled into the bank on Friday and this man pulled in right behind me and said he had been following me for 10 miles, said he knew I had to stop eventually. He just wanted to check it out.
On Saturday I had teenagers making pictures with there camera phone while I was driving up the road. Lots and lots of thumbs up and pointing, you can read peoples lips saying "new Mustang". Its pretty cool until someone follows me home.

Invest in a bat for the person that follows you home. A friend told me he saw one in my town, but I drove around for 20 minutes looking and couldn't find it. Another friend said his mom saw one and she loved the sound.

So far, that makes 2 of them in the Metro New Orleans area...

The local dealer had one, but when it arrived, the owner was waiting there for it, and took it home right away. Not like I blame him, I'd do the same...
