I heard that Ford is no longer making 05 Mustangs. Is this true?
My neighbor ordered his 05 in March and dealer says now they aren't
Making anymore 05's.

Yes it's true. I went to order a GT yesterday and was told it would have to be an 06 GT as they weren't taking any more orders on 05's.

 

Ford is making the '05 MY Mustang through the first week of August. Whether you can get one from a dealer is a whole other question. Supposedly there are currently more outstanding orders (i.e., people that want to buy one) than cars that will be produced. Certainly there are some dealers that will have cars available as some customers will back out of orders or maybe the dealership snuck an order for stock in as a retail order.

In mid-August the factory will start production of the '06 MY. Lots of people are going to be ordering '06's in the next few weeks.

 

Is there any difference in style/options on the 06 model?

no majpr differences. tire pressure system i believe, no body or engine spec changes 18" rim option as well and convertible boot will be a standard option
