I might suggest starting a new thread with the price of the Tri-Axe and how many will be needed to make it happen. It is bound to stir more intrest that way.

Yeah that might not be a bad idea. It's been 2 weeks now and we apparently still don't have enough people interested, I think if everyone knew for sure it was going to be $210. w/shipping as discussed earlier more people might jump on. I have a coupon for 15% off from another retailer that would make the Tri-Axe about $230 which is the best I have found yet. Although $210.00 sounds allot better I wont let the coupon expire. If somethings not solid by then Ill have to go that rout because I'm afraid to drag my feet to long and up paying $279.00 or so.

I still would like a discount on a set of Steeda pulleys or a brake upgrade, but I am not to picky. I already have a Tri-ax shifter so any performance upgrade would be welcome. Header, anything!

The Tri-Ax or Pro5 is enough to bump me out of lurker mode. 1 more for shifter.

you said that about 3 times now, name the number you need.

I've been to several Group buys and most went this way:

20 or less the cost is $XXX.xx
21 to 30 the cost is AAA.aa
over 31 the cost will be GGG.gg and a date is given to reach the numbers

By the way the long wait on this was to long and I found and bought a Pro 5.0 shifter off eBay for $222 and my Sheeda pulleys for $209.
Both already installed

Here is the rundown. I need a commitment for 25 or more shifters. The price would be $230 shipped.

Thanks

I think i'm going to have to pass if not, i'd rather get the new Hurst billet/competition shifter, have the nice chrome handle, and pay less.
Stang281 thats the price I'm hoping for, but to do that I'll need another 8-10 people.

Thanks

Brian

I am with Stang 281. If you can honor the $210, I am in. I am out at $230. This feels a little like a bait and switch. Why not show some Christmas cheer and let some fellow stangers be merry. $210 and we are in.

I said I was hoping to do it at $210, but unfortunately I could not negotiate the purchase cost low enough. That is why I was hesitant to quote a price until all the facts were in. I know how expensive it is to upgrade your car and that’s why this Group Purchase sounded like a good idea. I’ll start a new thread and those still interested please let me know.

Thanks

Brian

Not interested in the shifter anymore.

Do you think you will get a pulley group buy up and going?

Well, Steeda is selling their Tri Ax shifter for $265.95 on their website, and that doesn't include shipping. For me (guessing based on my UDP shipping fee) that's about $20 more.

Hmmm... $230 shipped vs $285 shipped.

Sounds like a winner to me. Count me in if this goes through.

Hey Brian, I'm local... can I pick up and save on the shipping?

Yeah, but fortunately (or unfortunately) you can find it for less than that, which makes the $230 shipped price not very good, especially not for a group buy.

I was just hoping for $210 shipped, if i'm going to get a shifter I really don't care what brand it is. I can get the new Hurst shifter (the one that is designed similar to Pro5.0 and Steeda) for around $210 shipped, thus my reasoning for hoping he could make that price on a group buy.

Anyway, hopefully we can get a group buy going on the pulleys for a good price. (or maybe something can be worked out with the shifter (like if you can get more people))

Let’s try this again after the first of the year. Excessive inventory may help with getting the prices and required quantities lower than their current levels. Stay tuned, I really want to get a successful group purchase going.

Happy Holidays

Sounds like a plan Brian. I really hope this works out. I don't even have my car yet so there's no rush over here! Thanks for the update.
