Steering Wheel Squeaks - Anybody else?
Just started noticing that my steering wheel has started to squeak, sometimes, while turning. Seems to be coming from inside the steering column, just behind the hub.
Anybody else have this?
If so, was it an easy fix? or dealer/warrenty issue?
TIA

Mine just started doing the same thing. Or should I say, I just started noticing this. Ever since I put on the Borlas several weeks ago, I don't play my music quite as loud. The exhaust seems to sound better than the music anyways. I believe that is why I notice the sound in the steering column now. I have not seen anything else posted on this subject, so it would be interesting to see if this is becoming a common problem.

belt rubbing pretty much sums up my noise as well... I noticed it only makes the noise when the motor is hot.. which kinda tells me it isnt in the column but could be resonating up from the steering rack.

mines quiet, but used to have a car that squeaked- was the 'brushes' for the horn sliprings. the right grease took care of it- but wouldnt even think of looking at the mustang- airbag=bomb...expensive bomb.
