I got "surprised" by a GTI the other day which gave me a good run for my money...I still beat him, but not by that much. I knew he had to have something under the hood, so I was like "turbo upgrade", huh? "Yup"..
He he. I still beat him by a good 2-3 car lengths.

I get these tools trying to run me all the time, I drove an excoworkers, stock and man are those things suprisingly slow, I knew they werent very fast but I didnt think they crawled the way they do when stock. There is one guy who has a modded one, including a boost controller and he tries everytime he sees me and its very sad and pathetic. I dont know what Volkswagen was thinking when they decided the Rabbitt would make a good choice to market as a sports car, glad to see that didnt work out and they are back to marketing them to girls calling them Rabbitts again. For crying out loud the turbod beetles are much faster.

so what happened? was it a lame comparison like they did last season where they really tweaked out and modded the Skyline but the other two cars including some Chrysler (I think?????) were lightly changed and most of it was body, like thats a fair comparison. They do these shows with such a slant for their own marketing agendas its lame. What was really sad was the Skyline was still not much better and then blew its motor...lol!

Last season it was retarted b/c of GM's unfair advantage, IMO. This season was better but nowhere near enough info/detail was given on all the cars. It seems as though they just gave you the bare minimum. Watch for the replay and let me know what you think? By the way the final rank was: 1) VW 2) Mustang 3) Honda Fit

Uh... You guys may not realize this but the Mustang in the tuner challenge is a V6. So with that in mind it's understandable that given nearly unlimited tunning options it could be bested by the more expensive GTi.

oh I didnt catch that. I caught it at the end of the episode and they showed them bolting up the vortech and that is it, but still Id find it hard to believe that the GTi could still beat the Stang in performance, like I said I drove one and was very suprised at how much it sucked I was expecting more even though I always ragged on them before driving it, I still expected more and was very disappointed, no way Id ever own one. Now the V6 stang when I test drove one, auto, I was very suprised with.
