05 Mustang bit 7o pm local time today
Edit: Yeah I turned on the TV to see what was on Autorotica and they where saying Next on Driving Force 40 years of Mustang and the New 05. I hope its good right now they are talkin about buying classic cars.
Edit2: Nice it is good to see the 05 driving and the stance looks good more to come after commercial break.

They did a quick history of the Mustang and then the 05. They showed it peeling out and driving. And a short interview with HTT. They also showed the pony drive arriveing at that place with the big globe? Nothing new just some nice PR, but the 05 sure looked nice driving down the road good stance. It was a red one. Also Fifth gear did a show on the greatest cars of all time and the did a real interesting segment on the original Pony and the wild crowds and demand it was the fastest selling car of all time. Can the 05 beat that?

Started out showing T-5 concept mustang (1963?)...then an awesome metallic 05
redfire zoomed thru the city at dusk...j. mays intro'd a torch red gt (PRETTY)...1st
40 yrs blah blah blah...names toyed with:
cheetah/puma/cougar/colt/torino/special falcon...66-68 a little bigger...69-70 a lot
bigger...71-73 BIG...74 mustang II w/87 hp ...80's performance took backseat
to fuel economy...shots of pony drive to celebrate 40th anniv...by 89 mustang to
be replaced by either the probe, discontinued or shipped to japan because
ford was lost/no leadership...90's saw comeback but nothing like 05 ...I'M
TELLING YOU METALLIC REDFIRE IS AWESOME...67-68 styling cues w/galloping
horse now floating in the grill (just the horse-no corral)...dash colors were brilliant
on tv...v8 under 25k...v6 under 20k...when you see an 05 in your rearview mirror-
you'll want to get the heII out of the way!!! :worship:

A few things that jumped out at me after watching this show:
1. Redfire does indeed look great...and the car looks much better on video than in still pictures - nice, wide stance, VERY evocative of the Classic Stangs, yet also very contemporary at the same time. Shows just how good the late '60s Stang designs were...and how well they translate to today.
2. In the video, we got a quick look at the dash. The LED gauges are very bright and luminescent - they illuminate the entire inside of the the gauge pods with a reflective glow. Love that "electric" blue color!
3. At the end of the show, host Ralph Sheheen said: "The reviews are coming in: from Car and Driver to Motor Trend...and the reviews are overwhelmingly positive." Not sure what he means here since we haven't seen a Car and Driver or Motor Trend review yet.
On the other hand, perhaps he's heard something from his automotive journalist buddies that we haven't yet!

I wish I had Speed. :bang:
Anyone know if it is on in the future. I can get someone with satalite to record it.
(EDIT: Oh, and I really like the news that the mags like it....I can't wait for the reviews!! <cough> Car of the Year </cough> )

Car and Driver and Motor trend have all had the cars and have their review finished. Ford has an embargo on all media until the cars are being produced and in showrooms.
When the 05 was in Vancouver WA Mark Rushbrook, Vehicle Development Manager for the 2005 Mustang said
"The 2005 mustang GT would start at under 25K MSRP."
