Spare Tire/Jack Hold-Down Question, HELP!

Hey guys, got a question for you. I have a 2007 V6 pony that I got used, and at some point the spare tire was used, and - big surprise - the hold down hardware is missing. So, if you look at the attached picture, from the manual, I circled one of the pieces i don't have, and I was wondering what the heck it does. Is it a threaded "bolt" that holds the jack down, by screwing into the floor?? All I have is the jack itself and the spare. Apparently the previous owner was so upset that he needed to put on the spare tire, that he left all this stuff at the side of the road :P

Thanks for any help or info!

it hooks on the floor & theres like a plastic wing nut type thing that screws down tight and holds it still. its not really necessary

well, i have the plastic wing nut, i thought that held down the tire. you're saying it also holds down the jack? that doesn't seem right...

I never seen anyone try to put the jack under the spare like that! In my car it works cause I have a full size spare. But idk wtf the pic is!!! I doubt that can be done unless you fabricate a longer bolt!!

The circled part is a "bolt" with a twist turn at the top. It threads through the hole in the jack handled and into the base of the set up and keeps it in place so it doesn't shift around or make noises by jumping around.

/\. What Jim said. I just had mine out today to swap my front wheels. My old trusty small jack was too tall for the front end... Lookalike I'll be hitting up HF for the small aluminum jack..
