My sooper sekrit insider contact called me on Monday and told me that my '05 had been loaded on a train last Saturday. I figured it would be here by now.

My dealer just called and confirmed that it was loaded on Saturday, but said the trip would take about eight days. My car should be here Monday or Tuesday.

"She came down from Detroit City
It took her eight days on the train ..."

[with apologies to Jimmy Buffett]

Let's see, how do I do this . . .

My cell waits impatiently for that glorious airwave that signals its ringing function with the hope that a similar signal might bring up "the Dealer" on its caller ID display...

ITS FRIGGIN KILLIN ME!! I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT!!

..that's cool for you though!! Enjoy it!! B)

Say, does anyone know how to track a railroad car? Mine is on Burlington Northerm ETTX 907907.

Drivetime, I'm in Carlisle, next to Concord.

After coming in on the train it has to be transferred to the dealer. I have come to believe delivery of your Mustang is a SLOOOOWWWW tortutous process!!!

Yeah question, are most orders this drawn out and painful or just Ford's?

Is that what the ETTX is all about? If so mine was on ETTX 851111 last Thursday.

Yes, that is a train car number. You can track the car if it goes through the Chicago hub, because that tracking feature is public. Otherwise it's tough to track train cars ever since 9/11.

Well, hopefully it's off the train by now and heading to the dealer. But thanks for the reply.

Using the VOPC 800 number, my car was dropped off by train Monday. Should be on a truck now and calling my name soon.......
