I wonder if Ford could do a Mach 1 with a functional hood scoops and vents... like Pontiac's Ram Air.

I'd love to see Machs.

I'd love to see Bullits.

I'd do anything for a BOSS!

Any word on whether or not other engines will be used? Like a 5.0? 5.4? 5.8 V-10?

Whatever they have in store, I can't wait to see it! B)

I'm thinking SEMA might have more than one 'concept' from Ford, and see which one generates the most interest.

Looks like us Mustang fanatics overloaded the AW web-site. It's finally back up.

If you love the '04's it's time for you to get a great deal:

Ford is still trying to sell its stock of 2004 Mustangs. It had 25,200 units, or a 96-day supply, as of Sept. 1.
But it looks like we still have a wait before the '05s arrive at the dealers:

Those special editions follow the coupe, which should be on sale by late October, and the convertible, which should be on sale in March.
And to answer all those threads about incentives:

Incentives will be limited at first. Lyons said to expect subsidized finance rates and possibly "loyalty" cash to previous Mustang buyers.

The ford guy I talked to driving a mule in 2003 told me Ford was going to offer us many new things in the Mustang just wait a little bit. So the special editions may really be special.

Saw this last night and was so happy. I honestly don't think a Boss will come along until around late 2007...

Well, they've already done Machs and Bullitts so Boss is next on the list. Frankly, I'd take any of them!

wonder which one though? 351, 429, or 302? I'd like to see a version of the 69 302 personally.

The high-performance SVT Mustang Cobra is slated to reappear for the 2006 model year, Ford Division President Steve Lyons said at a press event here

That the best news I've read in a LONG time!
Steve Lyons is a good enought source for me. I'm not sure I could've waited 2 years for a Cobra.

Oh joy, the Mustang will be in all the shows I do NOT watch, lol...

For instance, expect to see the 2005 Mustang on fall TV programming. It will be a 16th birthday gift for a character on Fox's "The O.C." when that program opens its season in November.

Also, the lead spy on ABC's "Alias," played by Jennifer Garner, will drive the 2005 Mustang during a fall episode.

Bingo, I don't think they want to miss the chance to make money off Shelby's name. I was thinking about info this last night. When does anyone from Ford give info out in this fashion? The Mach and 03 Cobra started as only rumors and Ford didn't say anything until they official released info and pics. All they said was that the Cobra would skip 02 production and we didn't really hear much about a new Mach until it was finished.

Backwards thinking makes me think the one special edition car not named will be the one released and shown at the Detroit auto show ....
