Soft Spot For Chamois...
The chamois/camel and black combo works nicely and gives a Shelby-like appearance! I went with Vista Blue and a Dove cloth interior because I like how the gray interior looks.
I guess I will be the rebel and disagree with the love fest here.
My first thought when I saw the seats were: "who threw up in the car?"
Sorry... that color combo, especially with the black plastic base is definitely
for me.
Flame suit on and ready!

This is news to me! I ordered 2008 GT vert sight unseen (am overseas), and I assumed leather seats meant that the seats were all leather. I was actually going to change the order to Chamois because I thought it looked classy in the pictures I've seen.
How obvious is the vinyl on the seats? How do they compare with other cars with leather seats?
Thanks!

Chamois looks great! It is very rich, warm and inviting while offering an air of classiness some handcrafted exotic cars have always had.
I remember when Chamois was quite popular on Fords in the mid to late 70's. One some Fords, they contrasted it in black trim when Ford started using the Euro Ford influence in some interior decor packages.
The Chamois and Dove Gray contrasted with black are welcome reliefs from the drab cold sterile thifty rental car biege and gray we have been looking at for over 25 years.
When I went looking for a new Mustang, I simply refused to buy one with the run of the mill beige or gray interior. Every one of them I looked at with anything but all black leather or cloth interior I hated. I did come across one GT with chamois and black leather interior and I liked it but it was out of my price range.

exactly watch.. When we were looking for our GT a few monts ago we did not want the run of the mill grey or black. Blah.. Wants something that pops at you.. We found ours 120 miles away.. and knew instantly it was the one..
Chamois doesn't look that great to me. I've seen it in some foreign cars and it looked awesome but it looks a bit bright for my taste in the Mustang. Maybe two-tone with chamois inserts and black everywhere else but it looks out of place with the rest of the interior to me.
ya gotta see it in person.. Everyone who sees my car loves it in person. Pics don't do it justice..
