How many of you out there that live in So Cal have their 05s? GT or V6? and if you will SD, Orange or LA county? I was just wondering because it seems like I should have seen at least one other GT by now, I have seen a few V6s, but very few. I would think that although they wouldnt be as abundant as 04 and earlier models, that I there would be more than there seems to be. I have also noticed that the local dealers suddenly have a shortage as well, just a couple of weeks ago they had several V6s and a couple of GTs on their lots and now they are gone (or the one or two that remain are just sitting there like no one wants them; probably due to the insane amount they are marked up) and the dealers havent recieved any new ones in yet. Is this IUP and MyColor options effecting production that much?

Oh yeah....I took delivery on my GT 2 weeks ago and I am in N County SD.

I am in Carson (So Cal) and took delivery of my Black GT 3 weeks ago tomorrow. I drive the 405N everyday to Santa Monica to work. I have seen several 05's on the roads and freeways since they have been released.

If you drive it, they will come...

North O.C.
Bought it last thursday.

I've only seen one other 05 on the road, was a V6 thanksgiving day. I don't see too many GT's on the lots but most have a handful of V6's.

Kinda wierd not seeing any others around, easy to find my car in a parking lot though.

Im thinking LA would have more simply because the number of dealerships up there and the fact that Galpin ordered several hundred that they had planned on selling by the end of the year.

I live in L.A. but unfortunately mine won't be in until Feb. My job requires me to drive a lot, but oddly enough I've only seen 2 GTs in the road, I've seen about 4 V6s. One of the GTs was in San Bernardino.

How did Galpin treat you? I've heard that they are scumbags from a couple of people. I order from Sunrise Ford, not too far from Galpin. Sunrise Ford is the only one to accept my xplan pin.

We have a black V6 down in San Diego, but my wife uses it for work out in Palm Desert so that's where she is during the week...Maybe one day I'll get to drive it...

My boss hooked me up with Galpin because she has leased from them for years and knows everyone by name. Having to deal with my obsession over this vehicle, she made a call.

Mr Levy had put my name on 2 cars in the system as if I had pre-ordered it. Months went by and I had heard nothing. I stopped by Airport Marina because they called and said they had one in after I had made an Inquiry on Ford Direct. They were marking the V6's up 2 grand and the GT's 4 grand. I walked and told them to call me when they were serious about selling a car.

More time went by with no word. On Dec 3, Mr Levy gave me the call and said it was here. By then I had given up on owning the car. I walked in Sat morning, the paperwork was done. I signed on the dotted line and drove away a happy woman.

All in all, no major complaints. Just a little confusion with getting the lojack and tint installed. But I would definitely recommend them because the overall process was too easy. B)

What was the final price? The Galpin people kept insisting that their Mustangs were at MSRP with no markup.

I live in the OC and purchased my v6 from Worthington Ford. They originally quoted me msrp when i ordered it, but when i learned about the x plan on this forum, I called them back and they accepted it because it was a factory order. Took me 6 weeks from order date to get the car. This is technically my 2nd mustang(first one doesn't really count, only had it for 2 weeks). I've only seen two 05's near where I live..i believe they were both GT's. Saw one v6 parked at the staples center. I'm actually quit surprise I haven't seen more around since LA/OC is the car capital. Happy Holidays to everyone!!!

I'v only seen one Torch Red V6 so far on the 55 South heading to Newport Beach. Other than that, I have not seen a singal GT in the OC or IE. Would have figured I would have seen one in Huntington Beach on Main street, you can find any car out there on the weekends

I am near LAX and I've seen four V-6's but only one other GT (on Thankgiving day), maybe some more will come out of hiding to play at the holidays.
