Talking Simple Introduction

Hey folks,

Old geezer of almost 47 here who is planning on picking up an 08 Vista Blue GT Premium sometime this week. I have been reading the forum posts for the last week or so while doing some last minute research. Seems like a very nice forum. I have learned a LOT here, and hope to be able to contribute someday.

I have loved Mustangs all my life, but have never owned one. I figured it was time to have a little fun ! I was sort of torn between all the great colors available. The Torch red was my first choice, then I briefly thought about the Grabber Orange. But when I finally went to see the cars in person, the Vista Blue just jumped out from the rest. I could picture it after I get it striped out to look like something I remember from my childhood days of the late 60s.

I'm looking forward to the adventure of modding the car, and enjoying what many Mustang owners have enjoyed for a long time.....The pure fun of driving again !!

I'll post pics when I can.

Alfster

Definately a good color choice, and welcome. 46 isnt old, and that's from an 18 year old. I too think this is the best forum for the Mustang lovers, its nice and clean, and has good people. Cant wait to see pics!

Welcome.......from another newbie. I've also learned a lot from reading this forum. Which of course means that I'm going to go broke from my list of "I wants". At least Christmas is coming. And...........46 is NOT old!

Welcome to the forum. There is a TON of information here, you'll find it very helpful once you start the inevitable modding.

Welcome Les. These cars are like a disease!!!!!!!!!! Ive ben diagnosed as having Stangitis by my wife! Enjoy the site. Everyone is very helpful and friendly, unlike a few of the other sites. One thing you have to do though is post pics!!!!!! You can't tease us by just telling us what you did to the car. You must post pics!!!!!!! Have fun!

Thanks for the great welcome !

I only thought I was close to closing the deal. Since I got home last night from the dealership, I have been looking through all the pictures I have collected, and now I am wavering on the color again. GRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!

My original choice was Torch Red with charcoal/red interior. Not one in stock at the moment locally. But they have a Torch Red with Dark Charcoal, and also the Vista Blue with Dark Charcoal. This is where the decision gets tough. I like both colors equally well. Can't afford two of them though.

Another option is to just order the Torch Red with the interior I want, and wait on it. It's too important to make a snap decision on, so I am in limbo till I finally decide which I want more. How does one choose between two cars that look this fantastic ?

At 48, I enjoy my 2007 Vista Blue GT. I recommend you stay out of the supercharger threads because you'll find yourself quickly upgrading.

Right behind you at age 45.

My first car I saved every penny for at age 17 was my '79 Mustang Turbo (not quite the same as whenever we took out my friend's mom's '69 Mustang). Still fun nonetheless.

It is pictures like this that make me drool for the Vista Blue. While the Red looks killer once it has the stripes and everything, the blue looks amazing just sitting there naked.
