Here's the background: Ordered a Sonic Blue GT with cloth charcoal interior on Xplan Feb 01. Only options are Active Anti-theft, interior sport package and wheel locks. Eventually I hear from the dealer that I'll have to get a 2006, they have no more allocation. I go to a new dealer who has better allocation on 6/3 to place an order for a 2006 (identical except Vista Blue). When I go to my original dealer to to collect my deposit back, he offers to sell me a ZX3 (wanted to slap him, but I held my composure). Now there's an almost identical GT on ebay except leather interior and Shaker 500. It's not far from me and I'm tempted to bid. It's not being sold as new (2733 miles). Should I?

Run the VIN on Carfax... and check the seller's comments first to make sure it wasn't bought wrecked a couple months ago and then fixed like another on eBay was... and I'd ask the seller a number of questions, how can you sell it new w/ near 3000 on it? Is it miles you put on it? Why are you selling? Any damage to the car that has been repaired? etc....

If all checks out and you want the car... then go for it!

Just talked to the dealer. His reserve is way too high. $5000.00 over new. Not worth it to me. I'll wait for my 2006 at xplan.
