Spoke to analyst looking for Railcar #, trying to sound like I make these calls everyday!! Asked for railcar # she told me there won't be a rail car # as it was shipped via truck. I replied like this wasn't exciting news to me, "Thanks, I'll let my customer know." and was about to hang up when she said "Was that all you wanted to know?" I of course panicked because I was just expecting to get a # not have a whole conversation and said "Uhhhh yea." Pretty brilliant huh!?!?
3 years of law school, 18 years of trying cases and the best I can do is "Uhhhh yea"
What else should I have asked? How can I track my Pony? What medication should I take to deal with this obsession over a car!!??!!

ERL says mine was shipped by convoy on 10/24.
Dealer says it's sitting in Michigan waiting on a rail car and was actually assigned a rail car today.
So apparently a "convoy" can mean "by rail"?
All I knew is that it was supposed to be here last week.

Thats what I always thought but then the analyst told me I was on a truck and I was speechless. Have you tried calling 800 # and speaking directly to an analyst. Try to be smoother than I was!!!!!

my last order and this one, first shipped convoy carrier, then to yard, then to rail car, then to yard, then to convoy carrier to dealer. So this is what may be happening to yours. wait a day and call again. Might then be on a rail car. good luck

Well some after some internet digging, I teacked my Pony through Norfolk Southern and found out it reached the Fosteria Ohio Mixing Center 11/16 by Truck and is (hopefully) scheduled to leave by rail 11/19 (still no Rail Car #) for Newark, N.J. where it will get back on a truck down to Freehold, N.J. Hopefully in time for Thanksgiving...but we are cutting it darn close.

Go to BlueOvalForums.com go to employees forum directory and the 2006 Mustang Status Board. Post your VIN # and request "Kzinti" (an anonymous Ford employee) to track down the current status of your car. He has access to much more up to date and specidfic info than ERL does.
