Thumbs down

Anyone else have this problem? My shifter **** is coming out of positon, especially after hard driving. The **** is slightly off-center and I have to carefully twist it back in place. It really pisses me off, becuase it can screw up my shifting if it twists too far.

Do I need to spin the shifter **** clockwise to tighten it or something? Anyone have a fix for this? If I need to pop the shifter **** off, how do I do this (pull or unscrew?)?

Charlie, you should'a got an Auto, then this wouldn't be happening. Seriously though, there should be an exposed nut on the underside of the shifter ****, or else it's a direct screw on type. Not 100% positive of either though, because I don't have one

Unscrew it and put a little Locktite (blue) on the threads and reinstall it. Let it dry and you shouldn't have a problem.

Unscrew counter clockwise.

Push the boot down and twist it tighter. Mine was a little loose from the factory. It's fine now.
