Shifter boot squeeks?
#2
They all do it, I think some have used leather conditioner and even Vaseline. I just ignore it personally, its nothing like when you wear a leather jacket in the car. If you get a replacement real leather boot it doesn't do it. There's a bunch of threads on this in the interior mods forum.

Doesn't bother me, personally. After the vinyl gets a bit older, it will soften up a bit and squeak less. Also, it tends to happen more when it's cold in the cabin, I find. When the ambient temperature increases inside (hot summer day), it's far less prevalent.

Gotta love auto shift boots
You can easily tell if its the interior shift boot if you are in third and just wiggle the shifter forward squeakysqueaky. Its not really a big deal in 4th or 5th, but driving around town you rest your hand on the shifter more. I only hear it on the rare occurrence that the radio is off and the windows are up.
